Partners Will Recycle Biomedical Plastic Products

Plastics manufacturer Westfall Technik (Las Vegas) will partner with biomedical plastic recycling company Polycarbin (Pittsburgh) to recycle single-use plastic laboratory products into new laboratory products made with recycled plastic.
Westfall’s NxtBio line of science and biomedical supplies will contain recycled plastics collected via Polycarbin’s diversion system and software platform. Polycarbin helps clinical and research labs collect and recycle single-use plastics, then it tracks where the plastic goes and its impact on carbon emissions, the company says. 

The partnership is the first time a company has offered plastic laboratory products made with recycled plastic of “consistent quality,” Westfall says. Visit or
