China Releases 10th Batch of Import Quotas
China released its 10th batch of import quotas July 24. The batch allows 10,110 mt of copper scrap, 1,110 mt of aluminum scrap, 3,970 mt of ferrous scrap, and 56,650 mt of paper scrap to enter China, the Bureau of International Recycling (Brussels) reports.
The quotas represent a significant drop in scrap material allowed from the last batch of quotas, released in early July, which allowed more than 175,000 mt of copper scrap, more than 200,000 mt of aluminum scrap, and over 1,115,000 mt of paper scrap to enter China. Visit bir.org/news-press/news.
