Recycling Hauler Network Plans Expansion to 10 New Markets

RoadRunner Recycling (Pittsburgh) has raised $28.6 million to help fund its expansion in up to 10 new markets, including Phoenix, San Diego, and Austin, Texas, the company says. It provides collection, hauling, and recycling consulting services using proprietary scheduling software and contracts with local truck fleets.
Co-led by venture capital firms and Greycroft, the Series C financing will allow the company to double the size of its workforce and invest in artificial intelligence and machine-learning technology, it says. RoadRunner currently operates in 10 markets: Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Houston, Chicago, Detroit, Dallas, San Antonio, Cleveland, and Washington, D.C. Visit
