New Ohio Corrugated Mill Will Use Recovered Fiber Feedstock

Corrugated packaging producer Saica Group (Zaragoza, Spain) starts construction on its first North American facility near Cincinnati, Ohio, in September, the company says.

The $72 million, 350,000-square-foot corrugated packaging plant, which it plans to open in spring 2022, will consume 66,000 tons of recovered paper annually as well as virgin fiber, a source from the company told Resource Recycling. The company expects the project to create 64 new jobs in the area.
