Chemical Recycler Launches Subsidiary to Increase Plastics Recycling

Chemical recycler Agilyx Corp. (Tigard, Ore.) has launched Cyclyx International (Portsmouth, N.H.), a subsidiary to increase plastics recyclability and develop new supply chains that will aggregate and preprocess larger volumes of plastics for recycling.
The subsidiary will make use of Agilyx Corp.’s database of the chemical makeup of “post-use” plastics, which the company developed in 2019 with General Electric. The two companies built artificial intelligence, machine learning, and predictive modeling and optimization tools to better understand the characteristics of post-use plastics and find new ways to recycle them. Cylyx plans to build an industry consortium across multiple industry sectors that will help mechanical and chemical recyclers source the appropriate feedstocks for their facilities, Agilyx says. Visit
