Wilmington Paper Named Exporter of the Year

The Export-Import Bank of the United States, or EXIM, has named Wilmington Paper Corp. (Pine Brook, N.J.) exporter of the year.

WPC uses EXIM’s export credit insurance policy for environmentally beneficial products to offer foreign customers open account credit terms while reducing the risk of nonpayment, it says. WPC credits the insurance policy with helping it enter international export markets in Asia, Europe, and South America that otherwise would have been too risky for a small business. WPC has exported over $17 million in recovered paper since 2014, which is about 40% of its total sales and supports half of the company’s 40 employees, it says.

In addition to exporting scrap, WPC creates recycling management programs for folding carton and converting plants. It has introduced recycling programs into more than 250 facilities around the world, EXIM says. Visit or
